Basingstoke Canal Lure Championship

Leave car park to start fishing at 08.30.
Recording of fish for the competition will be done using the Score Fishing App available on both IOS and Android for £1.99.
The Score Fishing app will go live at 07.45.
All BCAA rules are to be obeyed at all times.
Fishing may be carried out anywhere along the length of the Basingstoke Canal towpath only.
You may carry multiple rods, but only one rod is to be used at a time.
This is an artificial lure only competition. No usage of live or dead baits is allowed.
All competitors must be in posession of the following:
Valid UK EU rod fishing licence.
BCAA annual permit or day ticket.
Competition style tape measure of which examples of suitable styles will be shared on posts in this event including links of where to purchase one if you require one (also available from Tackle Up, Fleet).
A landing net (one per person, no sharing).
An unhooking mat (one per person, no sharing).
Wire trace to be used except when fishing a dropshot rig.
Traces to be used when targeting Pike.
All fish must be released immediately after photographed.
No keep nets allowed.
25cm bonus for first of each species (similar to LACC).
Minimum length: 20cm
Longest total length (as specified above)
Biggest perch (Length nose to tip of tail)
Biggest pike (Length nose to tip of tail)
Best Junior (Combined Length of biggest perch and biggest pike)
All entrants must use the "Score Fishing" app which is available from their website for £1.99.

Competition entry fee:
£15.00 for BCAA permit holders.
£20: non-members (fee will include day ticket given out at registration)
Competition to finish at 3pm after which Score Fishing will not allow further entries.
Meet at The Prince of Wales, Reading Road, Fleet, VU52 8SY at 15.30 for prize giving.
