It's time to find out who are the best Pike anglers in Ireland
There will be 3 session's on 3 different locations,3 different dates, all over the island.
Two big Lake's and a River.
-3rd October session one
-7th November session two
-5th December session three
(this dates can be changed-Covid restrictions )
Each session will be available 3 point's:
•1Point for Top 5 ( longest 5 fish)
•1Point for Number (number of pike caught over 60cm)
•1Point for Longest Pike (longest pike of the day)
In case of 2 or more team's will have the same length total Top 5,Numbers or Longest Pike they all recieve point's.
Another 3 points will be given at the end of the 3 session's as follow
1Pointt for Top 5 overall
1Point for Numbers overall
1Point for Longest fish overall
All locations will be decided 3 day's before the the session start.
Limited to 30 team's
First place €2600 overall + Trophies
Second place €1500 overall + Trophies
Third place €1000 overall + Trophies
Longest fish €300 overall + Trophies
Prizes are based on 30 boats 60 Anglers and they are guaranteed by @Baracuda Fishing Tackle Shop
Competition starts 9am and finish at 5pm
All teams can fish till 5pm sharp. No fish will count after 5pm.
All Measuring boards & hi-viz jackets have to be returned at the same place as staring point before 5:15pm and deposits will be given back after all 3 session's.
All teams will receive a map of the sector on the day.
We will use a application for getting the picture's in real time, Score Fishing App.
The app can be downloaded from app store or play store, it works on android or iPhone.

Rules for this event
Pike over 60cm only !
Anglers fish in pairs on a boat.
One angler in the boat has to wear a hyviz jacket provided by organisators at all time during the session's
Boats must be in suitable condition and checked for any pollution discharge
All fish are measured, recorded and returned to the water immediately
Hooks on lures must not be baited in any way
Only artificial lures made of steel, wood, rubber and plastic may be used. “Fly” “aquatic larvae” (nymphs, buzzers etc)
Fish finders may be used.
Boats shall remain a minimum distance of 50 metres apart from other competitor boat and 100meters from other boats(local anglers)
Only Pike over 60cm will be counted
Trolling is permitted
Each boat must have a landing net and unhooking pliers/ forceps.
Competitors may carry and assemble as many rods as they wish, but they are allowed to use only one rod at the time.
All fishing starting/finishing times must be strictly followed.
Anglers are not allowed to enter the water.
Fish played after the ending signal sounds don’t count- even if it’s hooked before signal.
In the event of adverse weather conditions the competition must be cancelled or moved to a safer location. If deemed suitable then the anglers are responsible for their own personal safety.
Lifejackets must be worn by all onboard.
All vessels should include a minimum of one experienced boatsman.
All competitors must be made aware of the ‘14 steps to safe boating’ www.iws.ie
